Crash!

As if life isn’t hectic enough… As if I don’t already have enough to worry about… As if I have time for one more thing to dwell on…

I’m having more electronic problems.

My external hard drive crashed last week.

The super-duper sorry part is that EVERYTHING from before May 2010 was on that drive and ONLY on that drive…

I’d transferred all of the data (think photos, digiscrapping files, documents, business spreadsheets, contacts, adoption paperwork….) onto the external when I cleared off my desktop to upgrade to Windows 7.  With all of the craziness that’s been happening in our house the last couple of weeks, I never got around to copying the data back onto the desktop….

(Fortunately my business and personal financials (QuickBooks and Microsoft Money data) were on my computer.)

Then my hard drive just stopped working.

I HATE that I have to learn my lesson the hard way.

I’ve got a friend working on the drive now. He says he “might” be able to salvage the data. I’ve already cried about it. To think of all the photos I might have lost.

I’ll let you know if anything gets recovered.
