Last day on the BEACH

The rain stopped for a couple of hours and we got to play on the beach 2 days before our flight home.

It was very windy.

Lyla was a little frightened of the noisy water at first. The waves were very choppy. Pop was happy to help her.

The wind and waves were a little too loud for Lars also.

Several of my photos looked overexposed, but I think my problem was that I had my f/stop set at 2.8. I sort of liked how the photos turned out though.

It wasn’t until I saw this photo on my computer that I loved it. Looks like a storm was coming, but it was just more rain. Masie could have stayed on the beach all day.

We loved our month in Australia! We are so grateful for all of the family and friends we could spend time with.
I’m posting this while sitting on my own couch back home (I post dated this entry so that when I one day make a book out of my blog, these photos will appear in 2010). We made it home safe on New Year’s Eve.
Ready to start 2011!

Looks like great fun! I love the beach (when it's warm!) & wish we lived closer. Also, you should be able to shoot at 2.8 ... just change your shutter speed or ISO to compensate.

Polly

lovely blog, can't wait to read more! Blessings,
Polly

.From Her.

I found your blog from Que and Brittany's.

We are just now starting the whole adoption process, and I was captivated by your blog. YOUR FAMILY IS BEAUTIFUL!!! My goodness.

And now to be annoying, I would love to pick your brain: Did you guys go through Guardian Angels for each adoption? Did you ever use LDSFS? Why did you choose GA over other adoption agencies (just trying to learn all I can...)

And last but not least, where is your husband from?? My husband served in Brisbane, and we got to go to Australia for a month a year or two ago. LOVED it.

Thanks for your time!!
Taylor
