Start of a new school year and other August happenings
I’m forever going to be playing catch-up, but I don’t like repeating this every time I get a chance to post. I need a permanent banner on the top of my blog announcing “EXPECT DELAYS!”
Our handsome eldest child moved into 1st grade. The house seemed so quiet the first weeks having him gone all day. Not! Preparing lunches for only 3 (well, I do pack Miles’s lunch) took some getting use to. We are so proud of this boy. His intelligence and willingness to learn astound us. And he’s always so HaPpY!!
Lyla started preschool! She’s a lucky girl because she’s in the same class as Masie. The girls are gone for 3 hours twice a week. It’s been fun listening to them after class. Lyla tattles on Masie and Masie counters with stories about the mischief Lyla got into. Masie has been making big strides the last few months, and she may be ready for kindergarten next year.
So what does our littlest guy have to say about being home alone with me? “When will my sisters be home?!”
Boys day out for haircuts.
Did I forget someone?
Guess what’s inside.
You’re never too old for a nap.
Sweet little girls.
And gorgeous little men.
I found Superman while shopping alone at the mall. The only time I was without a child all month.
Lars has never had/needed a playdate before.
Even with the start of school, we found plenty of time for the water we love.
I’ve started the girls back in dance and gymnastics. Lars is back to being the main cheerleader for his older sibs.
I really don’t know who started this, but I love those little tushes so much!
Sometimes they share. And sometimes she cries when he finishes the last of her popsicle.
Nightie-night.
