In October we stay outside most of the day
October and November have the best weather for living in AZ. The kids still jump in and out of the freezing pool water, but mostly we ride bikes and visit the parks.
Or practice balancing tricks in the front yard.
Miles’s jetpack.
The first bike ride of the season was pretty grueling. A flat tire makes it rough to pull 3 kids around.
We found our first caterpillar. We made a home for it and collected several more.
Lars won’t leave Miles alone when he’s trying to get his homework finished.
Coloring on pumpkins is easier and just as fun as cutting them.
Lars threw my cell phone (in happy excitement) and it hit our back window. My cell was fine. The window was not.
Big boy underwear. Love this tiny cellphone throwing bum.
Miles’s buddies Sam and Ashton didn’t mind the cold water either.
Lars loves his daddy.
We’ve got a helpful bunch.
We went to the movies for the first time as a family of 6. The kids enjoyed watching Brave and we only had to take one bathroom break.
We had some Jones cousins visit. This is my cousin Mary with me and the kids.
Miles’s buddy Caleb biked with us to the park. We are so sad that he’s moving out of our neighborhood. He and his family have been great friends living just across the street for the last 6.5 years.
I left the kids for the very first time to spend a few days with my friends in San Francisco. I’ll post more about my vacation and my race later. While I packed, the kids wouldn’t leave my side. They helped and pretended to be super needy until I left.
The girls received these cute hair wraps from Lyla’s Grandma Judy. Love them.
My sore legs after my race didn’t want me to bend over, so I decided it was time to teach Miles how to mop.
Masie’s first drawing of her family.
Painting nails.
Kerry and I had our first hike around South Mountain. We need to incorporate hills into our training.
Lars loves toy dogs, dolls, and carrying (and biting) our muffins.
Corndog first. Not completely sold on them.
Miles yelled, “I’m a sandwich. Everyone has to eat me!”
Lyla opens and closes her mouth as she opens and closes the scissors.
Masie asked, “Why do I still fall fast?”
Wiggly teeth, proper pencil holding, and fun outside my shower door.
My little reader.
The last day of tennis.
Masie said, “I love our collections.” Her friend Davis responded, “Yes, we’re so Arielish.”
Masie is 2-wheeling now!!!
Dinner at the park. After Lars spilled chocolate milk all down his front, we found a stage to dance and jump.
Lunch at the park while wearing a tutu.
Love spending time with my little crew.
