Yes, that is a kayak in our pool.
My only complaint was, “where are we going to store it??” It’s not little. Our house is little. There is no room in the garage. Our pool gear takes up most of the room in the yard… Luke says, “We’ll just keep it in the pool.”
Guess we’ll be making room because Luke wants to start rowing again. When he took her for a spin the first time, he attached her to the end of the pool with a bungee cord and rowed the life out of the pool water. Pretty funny to watch.
The kids think we’ve bought them a new toy. When I told Miles he needed to put his swimmers on, he looked puzzled. He said, “When you take a canoe out on the lake you leave your shorts and shoes on Mom.” I couldn’t fault his reasoning, but asked, “What if you want to just fall in and have a swim?” His face brightened right up and he proceeded to pull his swimmers on.
It appears Miles is going to be a natural at all water sports. And Miles chose orange.
Miles raced back and forth along the length of the pool to help make sure Luke didn’t ram into the ends.
It’s a little tougher with the girls inside with him. Lyla was a little worried to be in a boat. She’s never liked playing in them at swim lessons. Hopefully we can teach her to feel more comfortable moving across the top of the water. Masie wanted Miles to go faster.
Ok, baby boy Lars is wearing a purple swim diaper, but I didn’t want to leave him out of this post. You do what you gotta do when you run out of disposable swim diapers.
