Scarecrows and Dolphins

Miles is one special boy.

He amazes us everyday.

He became the older brother to 3 siblings in just 2 short years. He went from having all the attention on him to sharing the attention with 3 other little bodies. Not once has he complained. He has only shown us excitement and happiness at the addition of his sisters and brother.

He’s helping Masie learn to use the toilet. He takes Lyla by the hand, sits her down and takes her shoes off. He’s made up a song he sings to Lars while dancing in front of him.

“Baby-baby, baby-baby, bay-beeey LARrrrS!”

He is a swimming star. He just moved up to become a DOLPHIN. He is a master at the backstroke and will now be learning breaststroke and butterfly.

His greatest interest of late is scarecrows. It started because of a BOOK he reads over and over again, the movie CHARLOTTE'S WEB and our new garden boxes.

He asked for about a week if we could please, please, please build a scarecrow to keep the birds out of our new planters. Luke and I were making plans to start the scarecrow project until we discovered we could buy a scarecrow from Home Depot. Saved us since we don’t find time to be very creative these days.

This last week Miles liked to show us the face a scarecrow should pull to scare away the birds.

Unfortunately he wasn’t very impressed with the smiling one we purchased.

Miles goes to the window are runs outside several times a day to check on the smiling scarecrow. He says even though he doesn’t like it, it seems to be keeping the crows away.

I love checking your blog you are so up to date! I have never met your MIles but from the pictures he is always looks like such a content child. I wish I lived closer I would show Braelyn that a little guy like Miles puts his head under the water. We are still working on doing that. :)
