Snow!
The kids and I got an invitation to spend a few days in Show Low with our friends. There was snow up north, so we raced to play in it before it melted. It quickly became a muddy mess.
Two moms plus 8 young kids and no dads makes for a lot of work. We all had a great time.
Didn’t take long for them to fall asleep on the 3 hours drive. (I would have sworn the girls were asleep too until I viewed this photo.)
I had a hard time staying awake myself.
We made it in time to play with some snow!
This is the “cabin”. Nice, huh.
Not even 5 minutes outside, and she’s already lost a boot.
Guess what’s behind that door.
4-WHEELERS!
I said NO at first. Once I saw what a confident and good driver Brighton was, I let Miles ride around with him.
I’m not wearing snow pants. They’re my yoga/lounge/spend the day with the kids pants.
Audra looking gorgeously wind-blown.
Adaira knows a thing or 2 to teach me and my girls about Barbie dolls.
I get a kick out of kids climbing stairs.
We arrived on Miles’s birthday (his airport party soon to be posted). He and Brighton decorated and lit his cake.
Audra was ok with Brighton wielding a lighter, so I wasn’t going to stop him.
Looks good, right?
See the dent? I don’t think it happened while we were in Show Low (unless Audra bonked me and didn’t say), but I didn’t find it until this day. Not happy.
Snack time in beautiful weather. The snow is melting fast!
The snowman Audra was kind enough to make. It was crushed in seconds.
Would you take a drink from the melted snow?
This made for a cute photo, but really no actual sledding happened.
Lars and Dale were super happy to discover horses on the property. We never figured out where they came from.
Sleeping beauty didn’t want to wake from her nap.
And the not sleeper. He woke super early our last day, so I left him to snack and browse while I attempted to keep sleeping.
Yep, somebody gave that girl a sparkler!
We made it just in time because there wasn’t any white stuff left when we took off for home.
Thanks Audra for the use of some of your pictures and for taking us along for the ride!
