Miles was so sweet and gracious while opening his gifts, and he’d give a shocking gasp or “oh wow!” after every rip.

Lars shoving orange slices into his mouth. It’s a tradition in our family to receive oranges in our stockings and we must eat them before eating any candy.

Lars wouldn’t stop to let us take the truck out of its box.

Masie was a little grump until she opened up the watch. She and I had browsed online so I could get a feel for what watch she had her heart set on. Not the pretty pink princess ones. She wanted the big and chunky male athletic watch. I think she was happy with the one I compromised with.

The girls fell instantly in love with their new dolls.

Lyla’s doll has hair very similar to hers.

Miles and the girls got Toms shoes. Love them so very much.

Miles got head gear and I got a new ring!! I’m modeling it on my left hand just so I can hold the camera steady, but it’s really for my right hand. Luke it’s perfect!

And Luke got a great new watch.

Uncle Taylor sent us a gift from Brazil, and Miles got the gift he really wanted, a Hot Wheels Race Track.

When fingers don’t work, try using your teeth.

Lyla was super excited to get pretty new clothes from her Grandma Judy. The girls also received fun summer clothes from Nana and gorgeous church dresses from my mom Grandma Lynne.

That’s smoke handing in the air in my kitchen. We had smoke alarms going off in our house before 8 a.m. on Christmas morning. What was the cause? Me thinking I could make breakfast for my entire family and help my 4 little ones open their gifts. My 6 breakfast casseroles bubbled over creating a smoky mess. Breakfast was pretty much a disaster. Not one of my brothers complained though! I call that a Christmas miracle!

Fruit was still ok.

Someone got new electronics. Who needs that when you’ve got new jewelry?

There’s Timothy! Enjoying a nap for all of us.

We spent the evening at my mom’s house with all of my family (except Taylor who is serving a mission in Brazil). This is the car ride home that night. Miles getting teased by Lyla and Lars with his new lightsaber. It was a very merry Christmas.
