Puerto Penasco

We had a fantastic little vacation in Mexico.

We stayed on the 7th floor in a beautiful and clean condo 100 feet from the beach.

The weather was amazing!

We even saw some dolphins from our balcony.

We cut our trip short though because Masie started having respiratory problems Thursday night. We thought the best thing for her might be the clean ocean air. We stayed another day, but by Saturday morning she was much worse. It took all of her energy to take a breath. A security guard at the complex pointed out the room where a doctor was staying, but he either wasn’t there or saw us coming and didn’t want to help.

It was a little scary being in a country and not knowing the language or where to go for medical attention. We decided to race back to AZ to take Masie to the doctor. I’m not sure what we would have done if it were a real emergency. It taught me a good lesson though to check out the medical facilities before leaving on vacation.
Masie had bronchiolitis, and we started her on breathing treatments right away. She’s breathing clear and is back to her old rambunctious, mischievous self again.

Yep came over from r house. She's great and my neighbor :)
My husband books vacations for a living and we always recommend travel insurance for anyone leaving the country. Just make sure it covers medical too and then you don't have to worry so much.

Glad Masie is OK, that would be so scary! The views look like a postcard. Absolutely beautiful!

looks beautiful! so, are most condos there not clean? we've only been once. a family in my parents' ward invited joel & i to go with them cause they had rented 4 homes in a gated community and one of the homes was just a small one bedroom and we didn't have kids at the time, so we went along. we'd like to go back, but i'm kinda scared to take kids down there now that i'm a mom ... we'll have to talk. :)

How scary! It's amazing how quick little one's bounce back after being sooo sick.

Your photography is GORGEOUS!! The water is the bluest I've ever seen an ocean. Happy Mother's Day!!!!

Thanks friends!
Becky, we've stayed at 2 other places in Rocky Point that were not clean. Both were rental houses. Where we stayed this time and for the past couple of years has been at this condo owned by a friend of a friend. She gives it to us for a great price, but you can rent a room by going to www.bellasirena.com. We stay in a 2 bedroom with all the comforts of home. I was a little worried this trip about the immigration controversy going on in AZ, so we stayed close to the condo where there's loads of security and didn't venture far down the beach or into town. We had no problems and saw nothing to make us worry. And it's less than a 4 hour drive from here. So much fun!!

That is the best condo unit on that beach! The pools are amazing huh? We stay in Rocky Point with our time share almost every year since Nash was 1. It is such a blast, and so beautiful! Especially when you stay someplace like that!

That place in Mexico looks fantastic! I want to go! Maybe you should send me a link... seriously.

Glad Maisie is ok. Good tip to get the dr and emergency info before going on vacation in a foreign place.
