3 Months Old

How quickly life changes...
4 months ago we didn't have physical evidence of Masie's existence. We knew in our hearts and were told by the spirit earlier on that our baby was soon to arrive, but nothing tangible.
How quickly life changes...
I can hardly remember what my life was like without her.
I can't imagine my life without her in it.
I am so in love with my baby girl who turned 3 months old today.
It is wonderful to have a baby that smiles, grins, and coos at me just because I look at her.
She grins so big that her whole face scrunches as she wiggles her little body with delight.
She looks beautiful in any color, but I like her in purple the best.
She is a fantastic eater.
She's already reaching for things and loves to chomp on her fingers or my fingers or anything that gets near her mouth.
She loves to watch and talk to herself in the mirror.
She watches every move Miles makes and will smile at him every time he talks to her.
She loves her daddy who is very good at calming her.
She is so close to sleeping through the night.
She only likes to nap if she's wrapped tight, buckled tight, and swinging in her swing.
She hates to be on her tummy and will cry immediately when you try to put her on it. And if you dare to try, it will take a few minutes to get her to calm down and get her to stop gasping for air.
She is so strong and loves to stand up with help.
She likes to fall asleep with her blankie next to or over her face.
She is my lovely baby girl.
Ok, so I just said how much she hates being on her tummy... this is the one and only picture taken without her in tears.
Exciting news: We got the approval from the UT courts to finalize Masie's adoption early, so we'll be in UT the third week in November. That means our baby girl will be a world traveler before she's 6 months old since we'll be able to get her a passport and head to Australia for Christmas. YAY!

Miles had his last soccer practice today and wanted to show off his soccer medal. He made great progress over the last 8 weeks. To start he either cried or held Luke's hand all through practice. By the end of the course he was kicking and racing after the ball on his own and really enjoying himself. Now he asks Luke to "kick the ball" in the backyard with him.

You are a beautiful and amazing mother. I love your blog, and I love all of your sweet posts about Miles and Maisie's milestones, and about you and Luke wanting to be there for every minute and loving every moment. Brian and I are the same. I get so emotional every month Owen gets older, and every year my boys grow older. Thomas is now 5 and is telling me about what he wants to be when he grows up, and why. The other day he told me about his friend Jake and how his nick name is Jakey Wakey, and that his nick name is Tom and Tommy. Just a few months ago he didn't even want to be called Tommy and now it is COOL! WOW! It is so fun and so sweet watching him mature and grow up to be such a sweet young, and still my little baby boy. I love reading how much fun you are having as a mom with your little son and daughter. Maisie looks gorgeous in everything you put her in, and I love how you do Miles' hair. The twins dread their hair cuts. We try to cut/style their hair at least twice a year, 3 times if we are lucky.

Congrats on early adoption! Hope all goes well, especially traveling!

Have fun down under too!
