Easter Morning
Can you believe I made them take a photo before they got to look at what the Easter Bunny brought them?
I’m not big on candy for the kids, so they each got little gifts. The girls don’t have many girlie toys so the received their first Tinkerbelle dolls.
Did I mention Lars is walking? 10 months old and he’s so proud of his new freedom.
What do you think of my new yellow rug? I’m slowly converting our front room into the playroom. I love the pattern, but the rug is very rough and I’d like something softer for the kids to play on. I may be returning it.

Organic
We may be eating some home grown tomatoes and strawberries in the next couple of weeks. They’re so close to ripening. They need to hurry before it gets too hot, hot, hot!
We’ve had loads of spinach and can’t hardly eat it all before it’s time to pick it again. The broccoli and cabbage are nearly ripe.
Luke is just putting in some fruit trees this week. The little one by the shed is grapefruit and the taller one still in the planter is nectarine. How long will it take that little bitty grapefruit tree to give me some ruby goodness??
Miles and his best buddy Caleb doing their muddy boy thang.
It’s fascinating to me that these little bitty buds will one day give me sweet fruit.
Fridays at our house are spent between the sandbox, the garden, the pool, and the tramp. No shirt or shoes required!

What are big sisters for?
This video makes me giggle every time I watch it. This happens all day at our house. Lars is constantly attacking Lyla. She’s usually very patient with him as long as he doesn’t pull her hair. She can’t catch a break though. If she pauses or bends to pick something up, Lars is on her and wanting a “ride” around the house. Giggle.
Lars is super close to walking on his own now, so hopefully he won’t be using Lyla for much longer. Slow down Baby!
Don’t mind all the other chaos going on around the camera. Miles wanted to help Lars, Masie needed help with her shoes, and Lyla wanted to be the one getting all the attention. There is never a quiet moment to pull out the video camera, so this is the best we’ve got.
Enjoy!

Another birthday and some toes
We had a family party to celebrate Luke’s birthday.
The crown says “Miles.” Wasn’t he so nice to share?
Apple pie. A yummy favorite.
It’s a good thing it’s warm enough to pull out the summer pjs because Lars is busting out of his winter ones.
He’s also very close to walking. 9.5 months old and he’s taking 3-5 steps on his own. Watch out!
